USB drive sharing between Buffalo NAS and Windows 7

The Buffalo NAS cannot write to an external USB drive formatted with NTFS. The only way to do this effectively would be to format the USB drive to XFS or EXT3.

The problems then is that my windows box cannot view the files on the EXT3/XFS drive. So it is now necessary to install a EXT3 filesystem support for windows 7.

The ext2fsd filesystem driver works extremely well for me. Installation is painless and I am immediately able to read write the usb drive formatted to the EXT3 filesystem.

Get this great stuff here.
